Are you considering working out is mostly about losing weights? I suggest you think differently. And if you merely focus on making the most of this occasion to move, to be marvellous, to renew contact with yourself, to feel your body? Get rid of this pressure on your shoulders, forget about the bathroom scale and ENJOY!
I mean, if you move more, you will certainly lose fat and tone your body up but is that the best way to think about exercising? Here are five reasons why I stopped feeling like that about working out!
-
Working out is the perfect opportunity to get to know yourself.
When you are exercising, don’t fight against your body, help it to move and be strong. Breathe and be connected to your muscles. In the beginning, it’s always complicated and challenging, but if you persevere, you will succeed. Step by step, you will find your balance and a fantastic feeling of wellness.
I uncovered an essential part of myself thanks to fitness. And it was a fantastic adventure: the beginning of my awakening. I changed my lifestyle and became healthier, I trained and pushed myself to find a potential I ignored, and I learned consistency and dedication and most importantly how to connect my mind to my body.
Putting a lot of pressure on myself to lose weight has been my biggest mistake.
I didn’t eat enough carbs and trained more than 10 hours a week without enjoying it. I was always comparing myself, disgusted by my body and I became exhausted and so sad…
My way of thinking and my mindset had to change. With a lot of journaling and reading about personal growth, I started enjoying the process and was not focusing on an unhealthy goal. Finally, I discovered a strong woman capable of making significant shifts in her life. It allowed me to know that I had to be my best friend to move forward and build my body, not destroy it.
I want you to live fitness like that and learn from my mistakes.
Exercising and moving are beautiful ways to discover what you are capable of and how strong you can be.
I started my blog in French thanks to fitness four years ago, and I changed my life to become a Personal trainer: travelling to study; meeting beautiful people; practising English daily. I became a Personal trainer to help others to get healthier and uncover their potential: a new start. It was such a beautiful journey, and I am so grateful for all these things fitness brought me (the first step towards my purpose, a part of the puzzle). It could be a significant step in your life as well; it is just a matter of mindset and attitude.
Enjoy your workout, celebrate your body. You will relearn to know yourself. Each movement will be meaningful.

-
Your health will be improved, and your performances will be better.
If you run, adding some muscular reinforcements will be an excellent choice to consolidate your back, your joints and prevent them from repeated impacts. You will avoid injuries. If you practise yoga, boxing, tennis, dance, that will be a perfect choice as well. Fitness is an ideal complement to any other sports.
-
You will see that it plays a more significant role in your daily life than whatever you could imagine!
If we focus on the “physiological” aspect, you will be more enduring and operational in many different situations: to play with your children, to catch the bus when you are late, to climb, to carry your shopping bags!
You will feel more confident, more grounded and you will have so much energy!
-
Besides, working out enhances your intelligence (scientifically proven!).
Isn’t it a great reason to enjoy a good workout? Exercising is not incompatible with being intelligent, this is the opposite!
Here are the most important benefits:
- Boost your memory.
- Improve your concentration and your mental health
- Enhance your creativity
- Slowing cognitive decline
-
What’s more, it is beneficial for the mood, thanks to its capacity for generating the endorphins, the hormones of happiness in your brain.
After exercising, how do you feel? Think about it, isn’t this feeling powerful and inspiring?
In short, you will have high energy to deal with any daily tasks and be more enduring for any new activities/sports. You will feel so good about yourself, and that is priceless! Working out focusing only on weight loss is a short-term vision, the real objective should be a healthy and active long life and what you learn on the way.
I wanted to share my vision of fitness with you because working out is one of the best tools in my coaching series. I hope it will inspire you to move more and above all, enjoy it. No pressure, a beautiful connection body, mind and soul and lots of fun! Don’t’ be too serious, choose the music you LOVE and ENJOY! Exercising can be so powerful, you just have to decide it!
